In our collective new social distancing reality, it is a daunting challenge for Parents who need to juggle their work, continue to be full time parents and also act as part time school teachers. For many less fortunate children, the lack of affordable technology can add to the incredible stress of the times. 

​

Not all kids are so fortunate to have their own Chromebook. The kids lack the ability not only to learn as other kids do, but to socialize with others or enrich themselves with other avenues of tele-learning.

​

I was honored to be asked to join the Youth Foundation of Jersey City's Board. Our goal is to provide the students in Jersey City with high-quality educational, recreational, cultural and community enrichment programs. Our current initiative is to get them what they need right now - access to the technology they need to connect and succeed in their classes.

Soon on https://YouthfoundationofJerseyCity.org, we will share videos of educators talking about the impact not having devices will have on students. It's a hard time to ask for help, but if you can - there are students who would greatly benefit by your support.

The mission of the Youth Foundation of Jersey City, 501(c)(3), is to provide extra support for all students in our community.   We focus on the critical needs of high-quality educational, recreational, cultural and community enrichment programs. From backpacks to books, computers to sports equipment, we are here to help provide what our community needs. Contributions to the  foundation are used to help the youth of Jersey City.

The Foundation's current efforts are to provide Chromebooks to students in need due to Covid-19. Hundreds of Jersey City students have no access to the technology they need to connect. Help us raise $200,000.00 now to quickly get the students connected with their school!
